Breast Augmentation

Different entry points are used to place the implant in breast augmentation surgery. Examples of these entry points include the inframammary fold (under the breast), areolar perimeter (around the nipple), and the axillary (underarm) fold. Each of these approaches has its own advantages and disadvantages. The choice of entry point is made in consultation with the patient and the surgeon, based on the patient’s breast structure and the planned placement of the implant. Today, the inframammary fold is the most commonly preferred entry point.
